About Blend & Skills
Enhance sense and emotion with music, immerse in final audience soul, maintain an accurate and professional workflow and a constant and fruitful dialogue, here's the focus.Let the music make sense then...
Flavors blend
"If ever music was a perfume, instruments should be flowers and composer the rain which exhales the scent".
Instruments timbre is part of the composition process, together with melody, harmony and rhythm. Alain's work is somehow special in considering the work on timbre, blending different cultures, eras and instruments and, therefore, offering wide fields of exploration. Excerpting the essence of timbres from their cultural/historical context allows to reveal new sounding flavors.
Bytes, Wood & Steel...
Making his own way, Alain cultivates his taste for unusual vintage or ethnical wooden string instruments. He has an extensive use of computers skills, thereby enhancing sonic performances to a high point. Last, he owns and uses high end vintage studio gear, including a legendary tape recorder known as the "Beatles Machine". These "from another era" massive steel devices still hand down their amazing sound quality. Tradition allies with modernity.
Bytes, wood & steel: again, blend is the key.
Background
Following about 10 years classical violin studying, Alain went to jazz violin for a while and started to work as a guitarist meanwhile. Stage musician with bands, studio session guitarist for records and commercials, songwriter, music producer, mastering engineer (Vangelis "1492", Jon & Vangelis "Page of Life", Phil Ramone), feature film sound editor, sound designer, mixer, here's an overview of his early background.
Alain is a hardworker and has been mostly learning in the field. He got a lot out of classical music editing and mastering, especially in what concerns rhythm, breath, dynamics and silence.

This uncommonly wide experience in music and sound domain gave him a solid expertise in music scoring and artistic final cut. He's been composing music to picture for more than 15 years now, including TV feature films, commercials, international events.
